"How To Spend Your Summer" Written by: Mary

Well here we are. The 2009-2010 school year has come to a close. Now how should you spend your time? Some would say lying around, watching movies, eating dried bananas. No. No no no. What a waste of time! Maybe one day of that is fine but NO MORE! Instead you should invest yourself in some of the following activities and actually make this summer of 2010 memorable.
1. Make homemade popsicle's using frozen Sunny D.
2. Get your feet dirty. Literally. It's quite enjoyable.
3. Water Fights. Squirt Guns will forever be all the rage.
4. Lemonade Stands. No you are not too old. Make it good, sell food as well, donate the money to charity, and people will flock to your stand.
5. Sleep in but not longer than is needful. Get at least 8 hours so you can grow big and strong, not unhealthy and ugly.
6. Camp Fires make the world go round. What's better than fire and kumbiya Nothing. Except ravioli.
7. Go on safaris and adventures and bring a camera. Trust me, your inner Pocahontas and John Smith will be unleashed.
8. Go to Lagoon. There's nothing better than the feeling of theme parks in the summer. Or you could go to Disneyland but at least, take what you can get, and go to lagoon.
9. Go to Surf N' Slurp every day. Have a goal to try every flavor (keep in mind this will end up costing like $100 to try all the flavors- I speak from experience).
10. Get down wit yo bad self. Just kidding, don't do that. Really.

Summer Haiku

Oh summer
how your flowers bloom
so brightly
in the suns rays
filling my heart
with the songs
of birds chirping,
Illuminating my mind
and filling my soul
with everlasting joy.

Mirrors With Mika

Here we are. Innocently washing mirrors.
When someone decides to record us.

Too close for comfort

You know those up close and personal pictures?
Where your face takes up the whole picture?
Cause some nice person took an unfortunate picture of you?
Well I have plenty of those, that others have taken.
And I would gladly give you the opportunity to be in a picture like this.
It could almost be a form of cruel and unusual punishment.
But I would like to share a few with you nonetheless.

And that is all for today
