As most of us know, the majority of Return Missionaries fall under this classification: weird. But I am here to say that not all RM's are weird. It just depends how fast they decide to grip the fact that they are off their mission in another country, and now they can continue their mission at home. Here are some things I have realized about these kiddos:
1. They often seem deep in thought. You talk to them, they don't respond. What do you expect? It's not like they're used to you blabbering in their ear all the time.
2. You take them shopping and what do they buy? Collared shirts. It's been 2 years, every day wearing a collared shirt, but I promise there are other styles out there.
3. You might as well plan on spending oodles and oodles of money on new everything. After 2 years, your clothes become shreds, your shoes become tattered, and you become skinnier (or fatter in some cases) than ever before.
4. RM's come bearing gifts. It's like Christmas and everything has been imported from another part of the world!
5. You realize how much they can mature during the time they are away. You also realize they now have high potential to get married.
6. If you are a younger sister of an RM, during those 2 years you get to be bombarded by your brothers companions. Dream come true.
Well that's all for the moment.
I'm sure there is more to come.
Note: These are just thoughts based off my opinion, I'm sure it's different for all families.
